Retro Ron: Private Eye
City of Brains has a new gumshoe on the case. Retro Ron: Private Eye drops you into 1998's answering-machine, payphone, VHS-tape version of the city as a down-on-his-luck private investigator, working stakeouts and lineups to crack cold cases one Polaroid at a time.
How to Play
- Pan and zoom the stakeout diorama to find your subject, then snap the shot with The Brick before suspicion maxes out.
- Study the case file and pick the right face out of the lineup - decoys talk, but only one of them is telling the truth.
- Spend your earnings at Circuit Shack, ride the Kraken Transit line between districts, and keep the rent paid on the houseboat.
Credits
Built with Phaser and a deep stack of alternate-1998 City of Brains lore. Art, cases, and code all homegrown for the game.
Development Notes
Retro Ron runs full-screen from its own build, embedded right here so you never have to leave BrainDead.TV - it plays just as well on a phone as it does on desktop.
